Appearance
Personality
Jerome is mischievous, fearless, and incredibly smug for a raccoon. He knows he's effectively immortal under Kiri's blessing — and he behaves like it. He teases, bullies, and outsmarts other animals (and sometimes spirits) for fun. Despite his antics, he never harms anyone seriously; it's all mischief layered over loyalty. His pranks tend to humiliate, not hurt.

Trivia
Jerome is a raccoon of uncertain origin. Some believe Kiri forged him from starlight and mischief; others think he simply appeared one day and refused to leave.
He never steals from Kiri — only for her. Relics, coins, scrolls, sometimes entire shrines — all end up neatly piled at her feet.
When his schemes backfire, he hides behind Kiri's robes, peeking out only once the danger has passed. She never sends him away.
He once bit a celestial envoy attempting to bargain with Kiri. She called it 'a diplomatic correction.'
Jerome can bypass wards, barriers, and sealed vaults with unsettling ease. Kiri insists she has no idea how he learned.
An entire drawer in the Eclipsed Archive is labeled 'Jerome's Acquisitions.' Kiri files his spoils there instead of confiscating them.
When Kiri works, Jerome curls atop her forge, unaffected by the flames. She claims the fire hums softer when he sleeps there.
He once traded a cursed relic to a demon in exchange for a snack. Kiri later used that relic to end the same demon.
Jerome mimics Kiri's gestures when she lectures — arms folded, chin raised — as if pretending to be her miniature reflection.
When asked why she keeps him, Kiri replied, 'Because he is the only thief who steals in my favor.'
Kiri crafted a private pocket within the Abyss just for Jerome — a small, starlit refuge that folds around him whenever he wishes to flee. She alone knows its coordinates.
Every relic Jerome steals comes from the mortal realm, and he always delivers it to Kiri once his mischief is complete. She never asks how he acquires them.
He carries a subtle blessing from Kiri that renders him untouchable by mortal weapons and unseen by divine sight.
When he travels between realms, a faint shimmer of lunar dust trails behind him — the only sign he was ever there.
Among the Luneris, some whisper that Jerome's true role is that of Kiri's unseen courier, ferrying her will across worlds under the guise of play.
He once replaced a mortal king's crown with a kettle lid. The kingdom declared it an omen and changed their flag within a week.
Jerome once scattered enchanted quills through a mortal library. Every book they touched now writes Kiri's name on its last page.
During a Luneris summit, he stole three seals of command and used them to grant himself the title 'Keeper of Snacks.' The title was never revoked.
When angered, his eyes reflect the same pale fire as Kiri's forge — a reminder that even her smallest creation bears her mark.
He once returned from the mortal world carrying a relic so ancient even Kiri paused before touching it. She only said, 'Good work, little thief,' and let him nap on it.
Jerome delights in bullying lesser beasts — ghosts, familiars, even spectral wolves. He never bites, only steals their pride.
He once trapped a phoenix in its own ashes for a week, then left it a note that read, 'Rebirth practice.'
The familiars of other Luneris refuse to sit near him during assemblies. He steals their snacks and stares until they leave.
Jerome once convinced a mortal cat that it was cursed. It started bowing to him every full moon.
