Background

Viressel is never in the same shape twice.

It appears not as a monster, but as someone you trust, someone long dead, or someone you were meant to meet. It has no true form - only shifting silhouettes made of fog-skin and glinting teeth. Conversations with it feel remembered, not heard. It does not lie directly. It only confirms what you already wanted to believe.

Its victims don't vanish.

They follow it.

Description

Traits / Abilities

  • Assumed Familiarity - Automatically appears in a form the viewer trusts, recognizes, or wishes to see.
  • Fog-Skin - Its body disperses under direct assault, re-forming elsewhere as a different version of itself.
  • Truth-Bleed - Words spoken near it become unreliable; questions repeat, answers shift. Even magical truth-scrying fails.
  • Invitation Glare - Looking into its eyes may cause a compulsion to share secrets you didn't know you kept.
