Background
It does not fly.
It remembers flying, and the sky still folds in fear.
Far beyond the edge of navigable Silence, past where even thought can travel cleanly, Va'thulmareth coils. It is not dead. It is what death failed to bury. An endless wyrm of unreality and molten pre-meaning, its body exists out of sequence - some of it lies in the future, some in refusal, and some in dreams that never resolved.
Its presence breaks direction. Its breath burns concept, not life.
Even its silence is loud.
Those who find it don't return.
Those who try to explain it never existed.
Description
Traits / Abilities
- Formless Mass - Its body bends across unreal dimensions. Blades strike echoes. Magic pierces something that has not yet been.
- Cataclysm Spine - Vertebrae jut through the void, pulsing with pre-creation force. Where they pierce, geography unravels into liquid potential.
- Roar of the Unnamed - Its voice strips divine lineage and sacred identity. After hearing it, some gods no longer remember being born.
- Worldcoil Collapse - As it shifts, meaning buckles. Gravity loses direction. Entire philosophies turn inward and fall apart.
- Scales of Inversion - Each scale reflects your truest contradiction. What you hide becomes real. What you are becomes your enemy.
- Threnody Flame - A breath that unthreads reality's weave. It doesn't burn. It cancels. Civilizations vanish as if they were never grieved.
- Chronosear Wake - Va'thulmareth leaves behind time-scars. Step into its trail and suffer loops, pauses, or forgotten futures you must now survive.
- Nullpulse Heart - Its heartbeat emits across untime — spells flicker, thought slows, and memory disassembles into pure instinct.
- Writhe of Origin - Its movement reenacts failed creation myths — you may see your beginning rewritten, or become what you were never supposed to be.
- Ourofade - When threatened with true containment, Va'thulmareth coils into itself and removes its presence from sequence. For a moment, it cannot be reached - then returns somewhere you were never meant to be. Entire regions are overwritten. Those nearby are displaced into unreal realms: aborted timelines, false origins, discarded selves. They are not slain - they are undone.
